at his Uncle George B. Hite's home in Kentucky.

Agents acting under the direction of the Pinkerton Detective Agency, on the hunt for
Frank and Jesse, surround the home in Kearney, Missouri, throw a device in through the window
that explodes when shoved into the fireplace. Zerelda, the boys mother, has her right arm amputated
below the elbow later as a result and Archie Peyton Samuel, half-brother of Jesse and Frank is killed.
